Miquel BARCELO

Miquel Barceló (Felanitx, 1957) has been one of the greatest artists of our time since his youth. Possessing a pictorial language of extraordinary originality, he is also an exceptional creator in all variants of plastic art. Miquel Barceló is an artist of Mediterranean tradition who, from a young age, had contact with painting through his mother, also a painter, in the Mallorcan landscape tradition.

Barceló draws from Baroque painting, Art Brut, American abstract expressionism, Italian Arte Povera, and the works of Joan Miró and Antoni Tàpies to develop a neo-expressionist synthesis that encompasses all his artistic production.
